We are all members of a large community. The Universe. So few of us ever think about what is above our heads every minute of every day. It is easy to forget while keeping up with our own lives. This doesn’t change, however, the fact that there is more than we can even conceive of occurring constantly.
The Geminid meteor shower is in full swing at the moment. I caught a few last night with my wife. If you live somewhere (where I don’t) where the skies are generally clear, LOOK UP tonight!

Regarding the universe and our place in it: Have you seen the film “Melancholia”? It is right up your alley. I loved it, especially the happy ending.
I haven’t sat all the way through in one sitting but I have seen it! Haha, yea, the ending is so feel-good too!
What work-out exercises have you been doing? Glad to hear it, by the way.
Focused on core at start but still doing full body workouts, all at once in once night. Not “hard core” or anything, but hard for my age and how long I was out of it. Been a few months now. Seeing real gains, finally. Lost 40 pounds since September!

Oh sure. Other things help (that I won’t say on here, but you know). I’m really in a different place now. Very different.
I can sort of tell by the tone of your messages that you are not as burdened by the double-edged sort of intellect/sensitivity that can cause great suffering in a meaningless world.
As far as today’s massacre goes, is it rude or melodramatic to conclude

well, I’m more up for the fight I guess. fight the bastards, get rid of the “viruses” and move on to better lives. Not let sick pieces of crap define us. They don’t define me. I want a better world with more hope.
I know–they don’t define me, either. That seems to be the paradox about
the ruling class: they may have all the money and power, but that hardly
means they are superior in any meaningful way. That’s why I dismiss the notion
that we should be “keeping up” with current events: the actions of the
ruling class are too anti-intellectual, childish and unenlightened to merit
serious attention. Their destruction is all that I am interested in.
I won’t argue with that. The “ruling class” premise is archaic and needs to go away. There is zero value in 1% owning 80% of what is available.
The Federal Reserve is the biggest reason. Woodrow Wilson is to
blame for that.
It appears that I was very angry last Friday (after looking at my
comments for that date). I am so tired of feeling angry. It compromises the effectiveness of anything I try to convey.

John Adams is great–ever hear “American Berserk”?
I saw a great movie last night called “Cries and Whispers” by Ingmar Bergman.
It was also actually the 3rd time I’d seen it in about 14 years but it never fails
to blow me away.
I have. I’m really into a lot of his stuff, although some of his stuff is poorly named.
I haven’t seen that but have renewed interest in old movies lately for some reason.
